Nook Collective Terms & Conditions
1. Acceptance of Terms
By using Nook Collective’s services, facilities or attending our events, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions, as well as any additional guidelines provided.
2. Membership and Access
Memberships and access options are non-transferable.
Membership benefits are accessible only during the agreed-upon hours specified by Nook Collective.
Nook Collective reserves the right to adjust or amend membership prices, services and access hours at any time, with reasonable notice to members.
3. Bookings and Payments
Payment must be completed in advance for all memberships, casual passes, event spaces and room hire.
Bookings for event spaces, meeting rooms and the consult room are subject to availability and must be confirmed with a Nook Collective team member.
Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be charged in full for all spaces (excluding Supervised Kids Space & Event Space).
4. Use of Facilities
Facilities are provided on an as-is basis and are subject to availability.
Members and guests agree to leave spaces in the condition they were found. Any damages caused to Nook Collective property will be charged to the responsible party.
Rubbish and personal items must be removed at the end of each session or booking. Additional cleaning fees may apply if the space is not left in acceptable condition.
Any unauthorised access or misuse of spaces beyond those booked is prohibited.
Nook Collective will remain free from vaping devices, vaping substances and other harmful materials.
5. Event Space Terms
To book the event space, guests must complete our event booking form and agree to the terms and conditions. You can find the form here: 🔗 Nook Event Booking Form
Event space bookings require a $500 security deposit or bond, which will be held and returned if the space is left in its original condition.
If cleaning, repairs, or damages exceed the $500 bond, the hirer is liable for the full amount of the excess. Nook Collective reserves the right to recover these additional costs directly from the hirer. Should payment not be made within 7 days of notification, Nook Collective may pursue recovery through debt collection services or legal proceedings. The hirer will also be liable for any reasonable costs incurred by Nook Collective in enforcing this clause, including but not limited to debt collection fees, legal fees, and interest charges.
Nook Collective reserves the right to apply a $200 cleaning fee if the space is not left in its original state.
Rubbish removal is required; additional charges apply for failure to comply.
Add-ons like microphones and projectors are available at an extra charge and must be pre-booked.
The event space is available upon request, subject to availability and applicable fees.
Cancellations: All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email to hello@nookcollective.com.au. Cancellations made more than 4 weeks prior to the booking date will receive a full refund of the booking fee and security bond. Cancellations made within 2–4 weeks of the booking date will incur a 50% cancellation fee of the total booking fee; the security bond will be refunded in full. Cancellations made less than 2 weeks prior to the booking date are non-refundable, and the full booking fee will be retained; the security bond will be refunded. If Nook Collective must cancel the booking due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. venue closure or emergency), all fees and the bond will be refunded in full.
6. Supervised Kids Space
The supervised kids space is available for eligible memberships, bookings and events upon request and subject to availability and confirmation.
Nook Collective Pty Ltd does not operate as and is not a licensed childcare or education service under the Education and Care Services National Law or Regulations.
Access to the supervised kids space is provided as an incidental support service to a valid coworking, meeting, consult, studio or event booking and cannot be used independently.
Parents or guardians must remain on the premises at all times while their child is attending the supervised kids space. The parent/guardian retains full responsibility for their child, including their health, safety, medical needs and behaviour.
Bookings and Cancellations: Access must be booked in advance. Cancellations will be charged in full due to staffing requirements.
Limitation of Liability: To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nook Collective Pty Ltd is not liable for injuries, incidents or loss arising while children are attending the supervised kids space, except where required by law.
Nook Collective maintains appropriate safety practices within the supervised kids space, including current First Aid and CPR certification for staff, use of security cameras and compliance with applicable reporting obligations.
7. Liability and Insurance
Nook Collective is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage to personal property within the premises, except as required by law.
Members are encouraged to have personal insurance coverage for their belongings and activities.
Nook Collective does not provide insurance for member activities or business operations conducted on the premises.
8. Privacy and Data Protection
Personal information provided by members is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Nook Collective will not share personal details with third parties unless necessary for operational purposes or as required by law.
9. Changes to Terms
Nook Collective reserves the right to change or amend these terms and conditions at any time. Notice of changes will be provided to members by email or via the member portal.
10. Booking Duration and Overtime Fees
Please ensure you have booked enough time to include set up, pack down and cleaning in your bookings, as there may be other bookings immediately after yours. If you run over your allocated time, a $100 fee will apply.
11. Weekly Memberships
If you wish to cancel your weekly membership, simply email us at hello@nookcollective.com.au. We require 30 days notice.
Weekly memberships may be paused up to two (2) times per year for a $50 fee per request. Pause requests must be submitted via email and approved by Nook Collective prior to the pause start date.
