Nook Collective – Supervised Kids Space FAQ

  1. What are the Kids Space operating hours at Nook Collective?

    Our Supervised Kids Space operates in two sessions:

    1. Morning session: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM

    2. Afternoon session: 12 PM – 3 PM

      Parents may book consecutive sessions; however, check-in is required at the scheduled changeover time. Supervision is provided during these sessions as incidental support to parents engaged in an onsite booking. Parents or guardians must remain on the premises at all times and retain full responsibility for their child.

  2. What ages do you cater for?

    We welcome children from 8 weeks of age in our supervised kids space.

  3. What do I need to bring for my child?

    Please bring the following items for your child:

    1. Food and snacks: Fruit and vegetables only (no eggs or nuts permitted on site)

    2. Water bottle or milk bottle: Clearly labelled, along with any powders or expressed breast milk (EBM).

    3. Nappies and creams: Clearly labelled.

    4. Spare change of clothes.

    5. Soothers or dummies, if used.
      We provide storage for your child's bags, so please ensure all items are clearly labelled.

  4. Who is responsible for putting children to sleep?

    Parents are responsible for settling and putting their children down to sleep. Our team are unable to assist with settling due to supervision requirements.

  5. Do staff help with nappy changes and toileting?

    Our team can assist with nappy changes and toileting support during a session. Parents must remain onsite and available at all times. If you prefer to do this, please notify our team.

  6. What is your sickness policy?

    Children displaying signs of illness, including a temperature, must remain at home. A 24-hour symptom-free period is required before returning.

  7. How does Nook Collective manage allergies?

    Eggs and nuts are not permitted onsite. Please ensure any food brought for yourself or your child complies with this policy.

    If your child has allergies, please inform our team at check-in. If your child has been prescribed an adrenaline injector (e.g., EpiPen), please bring it with you so that it is available if required.

    Our team holds current First Aid and CPR certification.

  8. How do I access the Supervised Kids Space?

    Access to the supervised kids space is tied to a valid coworking or service booking and cannot be used independently. .

  9. What qualifications do your child-minding staff have?

    Our team are experienced in supporting babies and young children in supervised settings. All team members hold current First Aid and CPR certification and a valid Working with Children Check (WCC).

  10. What is the check-in and check-out process?

    Parents are required to sign their child in and out each session. This helps maintain accurate records of attendance.

  11. Can I leave my child at Nook Collective while I duck out?

    No. Parents or guardians must remain onsite and be readily available at all times.

  12. Is there a maximum capacity for the Supervised Kids Space?

    No. Nook Collective does not operate as a licensed childcare or education service under the Education and Care Services National Law or Regulations. The supervised kids space is provided as incidental support while parents are engaged in an on-site booking.

  13. Is this childcare or daycare?

    Yes, capacity is limited to ensure appropriate supervision. Bookings are subject to availability.

  14. How do you ensure the safety and cleanliness of the Supervised Kids Space?

    We maintain regular cleaning schedules and sanitise high-touch surfaces throughout the day to provide a safe environment for children attending the supervised kids space.

  15. Can I visit the Supervised Kids Space before my child attends?

    Yes, parents are welcome to tour the space and meet our team prior to booking. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
